Pink Think: "I'm just a landscape painter. I look out the window and I see what's going on, and I paint it. While I'm painting it, I also write thoughts about what I see going on out there." - William Wiley

I'm sitting at my kitchen table near my kitchen window getting ready to keep writing the novel that wouldn't go away. Yes, dear friends, I have decided to heck with market, I will write this thing if it kills me.
I like sitting by a window to write. Gets my creative juices flowing.

Just some random observations looking out my (mind's) window:
I can see into my neighbor's yard and thought I saw a baboon. Turns out it's just our neighbor's red standard poodle.
My high school classmates are finding me on Facebook. I am not all that sure I want to be found. Facebook feels eerily like high school. And I just don't want to be witty all the time, ya know?
If Taylor Lautner shows up at the New Moon premiere with Taylor Swift on his arm, who will get the loudest cheers: Taylor Swift or Stephenie Meyer?

That is too funny about the poodle!
I think the Taylors are so cute, it kills me!
Write away my friend. I agree. market be damned.
I think Taylor Swift will get the bigger cheers. Are you going to see New Moon???
keep up the writing!
Write away. Get it out of your system and onto paper...
I don't know who will get the bigger applause but I hope both...
Mike Myers hands down.
Celebrity is profoundly annoying to me.
What must the licening fees be like for a pet baboon? The foo costs must be astronomical not to mention the cleaning bills. Something to think about. Might I suggest you apply for a giraffe? They make the most delightful pets and they keep the trees trimmed nicely.
I'm glad to hear that you are working on your novel. It is nice to imagine you sitting by the window contemplating and creating wonderful stories.
Bravo for you writing your novel! It takes courage and commitment and it sounds like you have both. Good luck.
I totally cracked up about the poodle.
And yes- write the novel that won't leave you alone!
Congratulations on deciding to take up the old manuscript again! I wonder how many old ideas we all have that deserve a second look.
At my wife's urging, I've signed up for Facebook. Still not sure about it. There seems to be something about the whole social networking thing that turns everyone into a virtual 13 year old girl. :D
Good for you - write on, Jewel!
And a high school friend on Facebook just helpfully suggested me as a friend to other high school friends who I wasn't even friends with in school. I am so not into Facebook - we are in agreement on that.
Melanie: Will you be watching New Moon where you are??
Travis: I will!
Conquer: I think so, too. I will most likely see New Moon, a few weeks after it is out with my daughter (if she wants).
Carolyn: *get it out of your system* exactly!
LeSan: Ha Ha! A veritable zoo. That's how it feels like around here somedays. But today is fairly calm, a good writing day.
Rick: Thanks!! You, too, good luck with your writing projects.
Gypsy: Slowly but surely, thanks.
Ed: Ha, have fun! So true about the *13 year old* mentality. After the novelty wore off, it doesn't feel as much of a time-waster :-)
Lynn: If I don't know someone, I feel guilty ignoring them, but what can you do...?
Blogger just ate my comment!! So tired now to redo it, I'll see you tomorrow.
xo
See, I came back!
Now what was I saying... oh yes, I was never all that witty in high school so I don't have that to live up to on FB.
